On Wednesday night I stopped by the Burnside Brewing Co. on the Eastside of the river.
This turned out good because it was $3 pints all day long. I had a lime Kolsch which was perfect for the sunny day (and considering the fact that it was a little bit of a walk to get there).
I ordered a bacon, Swiss hamburger that came on a homemade roll as well as with a pickle made in house. The burger was delicious, but I really enjoyed the fries with bacon/chive aioli.
Another night I stopped by the Rogue Public House, the storefront for the popular Rogue beer (which you can find on tap and in stores throughout San Antonio). I opted to get a XS Dead Guy – I don’t know what XS stands for, but I am guessing Extra Stout since it has a higher alcohol content.
Since I was on the coast, I ordered some fish and chips – the fried halibut was outstanding and their tartar sauce was extremely rich. Fans of Rogue beer shouldn’t miss out on stopping by this pub.
Continue to the last page for a couple of random places I got to see.
