Whether you’re a beginner or advanced WordPress user, your blog will eventually become a vampire. Maybe not the blood sucking kind that can’t see their reflection, but it can become a mean beast that sucks the life out of you. After all, you just want to write and create—you didn’t get into blogging to slay vampires.
I’ve survived four different kinds of “blog vampires,” including:1. No One Is Reading My Blog Vampire
2. Keeping Up with the Joneses Vampire
3. Getting Caught up in the Fame Vampire
4. Administrative Nightmare Vampire
But just like vampires can be vanquished by a stake to the heart, garlic, sunlight or holy water, these blog vampires have weaknesses that can defeat them as well.
At WordCamp San Antonio, I went into detail about how the four type of blog vampires creep up on you and wreak havoc in your life, and I provided strategies to overcome them. Whether you were an attendee at my talk—or just need to know how to handle these challenges—I would invite you to sign up for my mailing list. Don’t worry, SA Flavor never spams—I don’t like getting junk in my mailbox either!
If you sign up for the WordPress/Blogging newsletter, I’ll let you know when the video of the talk is posted along with periodically emailing you tips, tricks and strategies I’ve found with writing and WordPress. And if you’re a San Antonian, I’d love it if you’d sign up for my newsletter about some of the fun food and culture of the city.
Thanks for stopping by and for your interest in San Antonio and WordPress!
