I have a big sweet tooth, and most of the time this sweet tooth involves chocolate. However, for this ice cream review I got out of my comfort zone and tried a suggestion from San Antonio Joe Facebook fan Manuel – Häagen-Dazs Green Tea ice cream. I stopped by the ice cream aisle at Central Market and picked it up a couple of nights ago.

Rather than being overpowering, I found the Green Tea ice cream to have a simple sweetness to it. There is a slight tea taste (in fact, almost indistinguishable) when you first taste it, but it turns into a very light and sweet ice cream. Having just ridden my bike around town, I was hot and decided to open the pint to cool down and found it very refreshing.

Thanks to Manuel for the suggestion to try the Green Tea ice cream – I would have never thought to give it a chance! One last thing, If you have any ice cream suggestions, be sure to leave them in the comments below.
